I keep telling myself I'll post here and at Keeper's FB page, but I spend too much time on FB and then forget.
She's been doing really, really well. I've been able to do so much with her help, and she has done some great work. She's still not (and likely never will be) super gregarious like Duncan, but we've put in some solid work on "go say hi" and now she's super mercenary about it, bumping people's hands for them to start petting her, then looking back at me for her cookie. Still, better than ducking because she's working (she's right in the mosh pit of happy dog bodies at the door when she's loose in the house. Sometimes she's a one dog mosh pit. Her opinions change when she's in harness.)
We've gone out a couple of times for fun now that the oppressive heat is letting up some, though an outdoor tour of a farmstead living history place in the high 70s was pushing both our comfort levels.
She's been doing a few more doctor's visits, and I'm not happy to say it looks like she'll have several more chances to learn the waiting room protocols in the relatively near future.
I've got a lot of thoughts and plans- like the local Berner meetups- that get foiled by my working nights and weekends. I'm hoping that we can start going on walks as the weather cools down and my health (hopefully) improves a bit here.
I have photos and FB pages I want to cross-post here so I can tag them. If anyone's got this on RSS after it's been quiet so long, brace yourselves.
